KIEV, Jan. 27 – A total of 942,748 internally displaced people have been registered in Ukraine as of January 26, says Maryna Vorona, a deputy head of the department for social protection of the internally displaced persons at the Ukrainian Ministry of Social Policy.
"We are taking into account people who moved from the temporarily occupied territory and the ATO (anti-terrorist operation) areas," she said.
Ukrainian Red Cross Society President Ivan Usychenko said that 600,000 Ukrainians fled to neighboring countries, mostly to Russia.
