KIEV, Dec. 29 – Reactor No. 6 of Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, the disconnection of which from the power grid at 05:59 Kiev time on Sunday morning was unscheduled, was reconnected to the power grid at 22:35 on the same day, the plant said in a statement.
"[The plant's] is increasing capacity," the statement reads.
All six Zaporizhia reactors are now operational. Background radiation on the industrial site and in the sanitary protection zone (the area within a radius of 2.5 kilometers around the NPP) is 8-12 micro roentgen per hour, which corresponds to natural background radiation in the area where Zaporizhia is located.
