KIEV, Jan. 9 ??“ Mittal Steel, the world??™s largest steel company, increased wages at Kryvorizhstal, Ukraine??™s biggest steel mill that it had acquired last year, meeting one of its acquisition commitments, the company said.

The increase in the wages, apparently by more than 10%, comes after Kryvorizhstal workers have staged a rally in Kryviy Rih last month demanding the increase and threatening with a strike.
