KIEV, Dec. 18 - Ukraine took over natural gas producing assets in a small area bordering Crimea, which was annexed by Russia in March, the state border guard service reported Thursday.

The assets in Arbatska Strilka, the southern part of the Kherson region, were under control of Russian troops since the annexation, but had been returned to Ukraine following months of talks.
