WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 – A new meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk (Belarus) over the situation in Donbas won't discuss a new ceasefire agreement, it will focus on the implementation of the ceasefire agreed to in Minsk in September, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department Jennifer Psaki said.
"This is not a discussion about a new ceasefire agreement, but discussions on implementation of the ceasefire agreed to in Minsk in September, which Russia and the separatists it backs have not implemented to date," she said at a briefing on December 8.
"This is certainly an opportunity to – for Russia and the separatists to show they support – or they will live up to their commitments," she added.
