LVIV, Dec. 2 - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development plans by the end of 2014 to sign a $200 million contract with PJSC Ukrtransgaz to the tune of to finance the modernization of the Urengoi-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline, EBRD Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus Francis Malige said.
"We hope to sign a contract with Ukrtransgaz for $200 million by the end of the year. We hope to complete negotiations in the coming days and sign the contract before Christmas," he said at a press briefing on the occasion of opening the regional office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Lviv.
