KIEV, Dec. 1 - Ukraine is at the final stage of negotiations on obtaining $300 million from the World Bank for projects in the health care sector, acting Health Minister Vasyl Lazoryshynets said.
"Today this is the only way to maintain and reconstruct our health care establishments, and in some fields - to build new centers," he said.
World Bank Program Leader for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine Paolo Carlo Belli told Interfax-Ukraine that the matter concerns the financing of eight or nine projects in Zakarpattia, Volyn, Rivne, Lviv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, and Vinnytsia regions.
