KIEV, Nov. 27 - The European Union is ready to help Ukraine, but the Ukrainian authorities should create the conditions for economic development in the country which will automatically bring it closer to the EU, EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn said.

He told reporters in Kiev on Thursday during a flower-laying ceremony at the memorial sign to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes that the EU was ready to help Ukraine and Ukrainian political leaders develop the state, in particular, from the economic point of view. He said that the issue concerned the creation of new jobs and the creation of good conditions for life and that now this was the most important task.
