MOSCOW, Nov. 27 - A telephone conversation took place on Wednesday evening between the Russian and Ukrainian presidents, Vladimir Putin and Petro Poroshenko at Kiev's initiative, a report posted on the Kremlin's website says.
"Issues concerning bilateral relations and the situation in the southeast of Ukraine were discussed," it said.
The Russian president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov earlier denied Ukrainian media reports that Putin had allegedly threatened his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko during their telephone conversation on November 26.
