BRUSSELS, Nov. 24 - Ukraine needs, first and foremost, the protection of its sovereignty and territorial integrity, the strengthening of defense capabilities and democratic institutions, and the implementation of the necessary political and economic reforms, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said in his address to the delegates of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
"We need urgent and effective support from our partners in the alliance. Only together we will be able to overcome serious threats to European security posed by the illegal actions of Russia," reads his address to the delegates to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which was read out in The Hague on Monday by Ukrainian presidential advisor Rostyslav Pavlenko.
