KIEV, Nov. 13 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is ready to send an additional EUR 350 million for construction of the New Safe Confinement (NSC) at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, EBRD Director for Nuclear Safety Vince Novak said.

"The EBRD Board is ready to disburse EUR 120 million now to finance the construction of the new confinement and another EUR 230 million at the end of November [after discussion at a meeting]. Thus, the EBRD will be the main donor of the financial aid," Novak said.
