KIEV, Nov. 5 – The Ukrainian government plans to send UAH 440 million of funds provided by the European Union to compensate 50% of the cost of the volume of replaced natural gas after the current heating season to enterprises if regional gas supply companies confirm the fact of gas replacement, Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine Serhiy Savchuk said in Kiev on Tuesday.
"We have UAH 440 million of European funds for the state program. We calculated that if we raise funds for the program, the multiplier effect will allow us to raise another UAH 1 billion from investors," he said at a briefing.
