KIEV, Oct. 31 – Kyivenergo has asked the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Commission for Energy and Housing and Utilities Services Regulation to find funds to buy fuel oil for the capital, Kyivenergo Director General Oleksandr Fomenko said.
"The gas limit allocated by Kiev City Administration for Kyivenergo for the heating season amounts to 1.304 billion cubic meters. According to the company’s calculations, if all gas saving measures are realized and temperature of water in pipelines is retained within the requirements, the required volume of gas is at least 1.788 billion cubic meters… We asked the Cabinet of Ministers to find sources of financing the purchase of alternative fuel – fuel oil," he said.
