KIEV, Oct. 30 – The National Bank of Ukraine has lifted the two restrictions on foreign currency purchases which were criticized by businesses most – limitations on payments for imports without bringing commodities into Ukraine and on payments under import agreements under when commodities have arrived in Ukraine, undergone customs clearance on the basis of bills of entry whose date of registration exceeds 180 days.
The cancellation of the two limitations is stipulated in NBU resolution No. 685 dated October 30, 2014, which amends NBU resolution No. 540 dated August 29, 2014, the NBU wrote on its website on Thursday. The new resolution will become effective as of November 3, 2014.
