KIEV, Oct. 13 - Ukraine is determined to prevent illegitimate elections called by the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics on the territories under their control, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said.

The Ukrainian government "will do all it can so as not to allow so-called elections in early November, where they are going to elect so-called presidents or government bodies," Klimkin said at a joint press conference with the German foreign minister in Berlin on Friday.
