KIEV, Oct. 8 - Two private Ukrainian energy companies will import up to 4 million metric tons of coal from Russia through the end of the year, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan said Wednesday.

The Russian coal import plans come as Ukraine’s state energy companies have been seeking to import 1 million metric tons of coal from South Africa.
