KIEV, Oct. 2 – The Cabinet of Ministers has barred enterprises that produce fertilizers from using Ukrainian-extracted gas, as well as gas from the underground storage areas until the end of the autumn-winter period, or until a special government decision to be taken.

This decision is stipulated by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 488 as of September 29.

"Since October 1, 2014 by the end of autumn-winter period 2014/2015 or until the taking of a separate decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, [fertilizer producers are not] to use natural gas for their technological needs, apart from gas that is imported by these enterprises after this decree takes effect," the document reads.
