KIEV, Oct. 2 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny as of October 1 had repaid loan participation notes worth $1.595 billion, and paid interest on them worth $75 million, the Ukrainian Finance Ministry reported.

"The company's obligations were guaranteed by the government of Ukraine… The debt, which is guaranteed by the state, has thus shrunk by UAH 20.7 billion to UAH 138.3 billion as of October 1, 2014, according to rough estimates," the ministry said.
