BERLIN, Sept. 26 – The intermediate price of gas for Ukraine of $385 per 1,000 cubic meters should not depend on customs duty set by the government of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan said.

"Taking into account the fact that the 'peak period' has practically started, the EC proposed the price of $385 per 1,000 cubic meters for the autumn and winter period as an intermediate price until the situation is settled in the court of arbitration. But this price, as suggested by the EC, should be a commercial price, regardless of the decisions of the Russian government," he said after tripartite talks on gas held in Berlin on September 26.
