KIEV, Sept. 23 - Russia may resort to cutting off natural gas supplies to Europe via the Ukrainian gas pipelines during the winter, Andriy Kobolev, the head of the national energy company Naftogaz Ukrayiny, said Tuesday.

Russia completely cut off gas supplies to Ukraine on June 16, but continues to supply gas to European consumers via the Ukrainian pipelines.
