KIEV, Aug. 28 – Subdivisions of the Russian army arrived as a helping hand to the illegal armed formations that operate on the east of Ukraine after the actions of the anti-terrorist operation's (ATO) forces were successful, President Petro Poroshenko said.

"To save the terrorist gang, from Russia - through a part of the border we don’t control - came columns of heavy vehicles, a large amount of arms and military men from regular army units of Russia," he said opening the National Security and Defense Council's meeting in Kiev on Thursday.
