KIEV, Aug. 28 – EnergoAtom President Yuriy Nedashkovsky and President of Westinghouse Electric for EMEA Region Yves Brachet last week in Kiev discussed a possibility of expanding cooperation and the realization of current joint projects.
EnergoAtom reported that the sides also discussed a project on diversification of supplies of nuclear fuel to Ukrainian nuclear power plants, including the introduction of several science intensive measures as a part of a comprehensive program on the increase of the safety of reactors.
The program requires the application of new experimental data and experience of other nuclear states operating reactors similar to those used at Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
