KIEV, July 24 – Parliament Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov has announced the dissolution of the Ukrainian Communist Party faction in the Verkhovna Rada.

He said at a morning meeting of parliament on Thursday that after the elections to the Verkhovna Rada the Ukrainian Communist Party faction included 33 MPs.

"As of June 1, this faction was reduced to 23 MPs, which is significantly less than the minimum number of faction members... On this basis, I am announcing the dissolution of the Ukrainian Communist Party faction," Turchynov said.
