KIEV, July 11 - Ukraine needs to import 7.23 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Europe in August through March 2015 to survive winter without Russian gas supplies, the government said on Friday.

The figures are outlined in the government’s resolution that has been posted on Friday to specify the country’s gas consumption during the high demand season in the wake of Russian gas supply cut. The resolution was approved by government on Wednesday.
