KIEV, July 8 - Ukraine cut gas transit to Europe and CIS countries by 7.1%, or 2.782 billion cubic meters (bcm), year-on-year in H1 to 36.571 billion cubic meters, pipeline operator Ukrtransgaz said.

Transit to Europe fell 8.1% to 35.148 bcm but transit to the CIS (Moldova) grew 26.4% to 1.424 bcm.

Gas transit to Europe in June fell 17.3% year-on-year to 5.879 bcm, while transit to Moldova grew 78.1% to 147.67 mcm.
