KIEV, July 4 – Attacks at banks and legislative populism risk destabilization of the banking system, according to the Independent Association of Banks of Ukraine.
"Actions against banks are actually a diversion in the Ukrainian financial system and could bring threats to the national security of the country," reads a statement of the IABU.
According to the statement, this concerns mass attacks at banks' departments and populism legislative initiatives, for example, on the recalculation of currency credits under the exchange rate of UAH 5.05/$1 or the introduction of a 1% fine for each day of delay with the payment of the deposit.
