KIEV, July 3 - Parliament on Thursday rejected the government’s bill introducing a state of emergency in Ukraine’s energy sector, triggering a warning from the prime minister the move may result in natural gas shortages in the winter.

The bill would have given the government the power to regulate gas prices and supply options in case of gas shortages.
