KIEV, July 1 – State enterprise EnergoAtom and Holtec International (the United States) have signed a supplementary agreement to the contract for the construction of a centralized waste nuclear fuel storage, the company announced.
The agreement was signed by the companies' presidents, Yuriy Nedashkovsky and Kris Singh, in Kiev last week.
The document deals with the resumption of work under the contract of 2005 with regard to developing the project of a centralized storage. The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers allowed the start of this step. The cabinet allocated two land plots with a total area of 45.2 hectares in the alienation zone around Chernobyl nuclear power plant for this project.
