KIEV, July 1 – Parliament has exempted imports of personal protective equipment and medicines from value-added tax while the counter-terrorism operation in Ukraine's east continues.
Respective amendments to Ukraine's Tax Code scored 261 votes from MPs.
In keeping with amendments, temporarily exempt from VAT (during the counter-terrorism operation and/or the introduction of martial law) are imports of special personal protective equipment (helmets, ballistic vests and components that are produced in keeping with military standards) onto Ukraine's customs territory or their supplies on Ukraine's customs territory for the needs of law-enforcement agencies, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and other military units.
