KIEV, June 18 – The State Financial Monitoring Service has detected 42 companies registered in Cyprus, Panama, Britain, Belize, and the Seychelles that are directly connected to ousted President Viktor Yanukovych and his entourage, and $1.34 billion worth of funds have been blocked on the accounts of 19 of them, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said.
"Together with the financial intelligence services of Britain, Latvia, Cyprus and Panama, we have detected all of the above offshore companies and established all surnames of senior officials and persons authorized by them to manage these companies and funds," he said, while opening a government meeting in Kiev on Wednesday.
