KIEV, June 18 – Ukraine will be able to start exports of animal products, first of all, pork, beef and dairy products, to the European Union market no earlier than 2015, the State Veterinary and Biosecurity Service reported.
Deputy service chief Vitaliy Bashynsky said at a roundtable in Kiev on Tuesday that in July Ukraine will accept the inspectorate mission of specialists from the Food and Veterinary Office (FVO), the Directorate General for Health & Consumers of the European Commission (DG SANKO) which will check the readiness of Ukrainian producers to supply their products to the EU.
"We haven’t received official confirmation from the mission, but we have an oral statement from the DG SANKO director general," he said.
