KIEV, June 12 – Ukraine is waiting from Russia to take steps to de-escalate the situation in Donbas, otherwise, it will ask the international community to apply the next wave of sanctions, acting Foreign Minister Andriy Deschytsia said.
"If Russia at the highest political level doesn't facilitate the de-escalation of the situation in the east [of Ukraine], then there is nothing left for us to do but to call on the whole of the international community to apply new pressure – new sanctions against Russia. Because, unfortunately, Russia understands just words of force and reacts only when one speaks with it as an equal, or by using force," Deschytsia said at the press conference in Kiev on Thursday.
