KIEV, June 13 – EnergoAtom President Yuriy Nedashkovsky has been elected a member of the Governing Board of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), the reported.

The company said that the decision was made at a meeting of the board in Budapest (Hungary) held on June 4.

“EnergoAtom is consistent in increasing safety of nuclear power plants. In 2011, the Ukrainian government approved a comprehensive program on the increase of the safety level, which takes into account measures formed after learning lesions following the Fukushima disaster and which is being implemented now," reads the report.
