MOSCOW, May 18 - Ukrainian oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrayiny, whose dispute with Gazprom over the price of gas may deteriorate into a gas transit crisis in two weeks' time, is pumping all of the imported Russian gas into underground storage facilities.
According to the Gas Infrastructure Europe website, Naftogaz pumped 770.8 million cubic meters into underground gas depots from May 10 to 16, or 98.9% of the gas imports (779.2 million cubic meters). A week earlier, 752 million cubic meters of gas were pumped into underground gas storage facilities, or 95.5% of the imports (787.2 million cubic meters).
