BRUSSELS, Dec. 7 ??“ Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov urged the European Union on Wednesday to put pressure on Ukraine to ensure that Russian natural gas supplies to Europe continue uninterrupted next year.

Russia, which seeks to triple prices for gas it supplies to Ukraine, has been suggesting that Kiev??™s refusal to accept the new prices would lead to repercussions on European consumers of Russian gas.
