KIEV, May 14 – Motor Sich (Zaporizhia) has postponed the realization of plans for the further expansion of cooperation with Russia's United Engine Corporation (UEC) until the crisis in relations between Ukraine and Russia is settled, a representative of top managers of the Ukrainian company has told Interfax-Ukraine.
Commenting on the motives of the recent signing of the agreement between Motor Sich and UEC on the creation of International Engineering Center UEC LLC on the joint designing of aircraft engines when Russia annexed Crimea, the source said that the plans on the creation of the company to jointly design fifth and sixth generation aircraft engines were worked out throughout 2013 and in March the companies reached the phase at which it is possible to sign the document.
