SIMFEROPOL, May 13 - The National Bank of Ukraine has partially destroyed the cash hryvnias stored in its storage facility in Simferopol, which is now sealed under a court order, Crimean First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Temirgaliyev said.
"They started destroying cash hryvnias and over UAH 30 million [some 93 million rubles] were destroyed in the National Bank division in Crimea. We couldn't let that happen. There was a court ruling to seal the money storage facility of the National Bank of Ukraine in Crimea," Temirgaliyev told Interfax on Tuesday.
