WASHINGTON, May 6 - Ukraine's leadership has demonstrated great restraint against the background of the events in the eastern regions of the country, U.S. State Department spokesperson Marie Harf said at a briefing on Monday.

"We have clearly said the Ukrainian government has showed great restraint in the face of overwhelming challenges," Harf said, when asked whether the United States supports an anti-terrorist operation in east Ukraine.
