KIEV, April 23 – Ukrainian poultry breeders will start exporting egg products to the European Union market in May, Union of Ukrainian Poultry Breeders Chairman Oleksandr Bakumenko said.
Bakumenko said that as a part of the quotas for duty-free imports of goods provided by the EU until November 1 Ukraine could export 3,000 tons of powder and liquid egg products, and the country will use the preferences without problems.
Bakumenko forecasts that large industrial producers – Avangard and Ovostar - will use up their quota.
The quota for chicken meat of 36,000 tons will be also used, he said.
