KIEV, April 8 – Consumer prices in Ukraine grew by 2.2% in March, their fastest monthly growth September 2010's 2.9% rise, the State Statistics Service reported on Monday.
Inflation has reached 3% since the beginning of the year, whereas compared to March 2013 it accelerated to 3.4%, from 1.2% in February 2014.
Last year, consumer prices in Ukraine rose by 0.5%, whereas a year earlier they shrank by 0.2%. The state budget for 2014 is based on a forecast for inflation of 12%.
