KIEV, March 28 – Russia's "Russian Spring" plan involves disruption of the early presidential elections in the country, making the risk of incursion of Russian troops into the mainland Ukraine is currently quite high, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Andriy Parubiy said.
"They [the Russian authorities] continue their tactics to destabilize the situation in Ukraine, and today their main task is to destabilize the situation and prevent the holding of presidential elections on May 25. Their plans are based on this," the council's press service quoted him as saying during a Web conference with Executive Vice President of the U.S. Atlantic Council Damon Wilson on Thursday evening.
