KIEV, March 27 – The government will not introduce a tax on incomes from bank deposits this year, Prime Minister Arseniy said.
"In the current conditions the introduction of taxation of passive transactions at banks means that this will be used by people to take deposits from banks. We've decided not to introduce taxation of incomes from bank deposits," he said in parliament on Thursday.
As reported, on March 19, 2014, Yatseniuk said he opposed the idea of imposing taxes on deposit rates and proposed that only deposits that exceed UAH 50,000 should be taxed.
