KIEV, March 21 - Ukraine will shortly file lawsuits against Russia at international courts to seek compensation for seizing “hundreds billions of US dollars” worth of property following its invasion and annexation of Crimea, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said Friday.
The lawsuits will be filed “promptly,” Yatseniuk said, adding that Russia “will be forced to pay.”
“The Russian Federation, by using weapons has committed an armed robbery of Ukraine, including the nationalization of property,” Yatseniuk wrote on his Facebook page. “This property is worth not even billions of [US] dollars, but hundreds of billions.”
