KIEV, March 19 – The government has drawn up amendments to Ukrainian laws foreseeing a reduction in the subsidizing of solar energy, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan said in an interview with Publichnye Liudi magazine.
"As for solar energy, we have an unsound distortion. Solar energy was put in very comfortable conditions, as it had a curator. If you want to know who, it was Andriy Kliuyev. There are many strange things there. For example, facilities were built using budget funds, the power lines are installed and a special tariff is retained for solar module producers. These are absolutely corrupt schemes," Prodan said.
