Yanukovych-linked company being probed for import duty evasion

KIEV, Feb. 26 – Ukraine is investigating whether Vetek, an energy group thought to be linked with President Viktor Yanukovych, has been massively importing gasoline without paying import duties, police said Wednesday.

Vetek, which owns Odessa oil refinery, Ukraine’s third largest by capacity, was alleged to have been keeping at least 100,000 metric toms of illegally imported gasoline in Odessa.
