BRUSSELS, Feb. 19 – European Parliament President Martin Schulz has made a statement on the deadly clashes in Ukraine, in which he urged all sides of the conflict to refrain from violence.

"A tragedy is unfolding in Ukraine. The failure of authorities to engage in genuine dialogue has led to renewed violence and deaths of many protesters and police. It is deeply shocking and unacceptable. It requires a strong and urgent action," reads the statement from Schulz posted on Wednesday.
