KIEV, Feb. 14 - The managements of Sberbank of Russia in Ukraine and Prominvestbank, which is incorporated in Russia's Vnesheconombank, both located in Kiev, have reaffirmed their lending institutions' intention to continue work in Ukraine's banking sector.
"Sberbank has come to Ukraine not for one day, and therefore long-term relations with our clients and partners are important to us. We will continue to track the developments on the market and, if need be, will take measures to support our subsidiary bank in Ukraine. We are following the situation in Ukraine very closely. This is one of the most important markets for us. We are sure of the country's good future," Sberbank quoted its CEO German Gref as saying in a statement.
Gref claimed that Sberbank's subsidiary in Ukraine is stable, and its management ensured a good liquidity reserve in 2013.
