BUDYONNOVSK, Feb. 12 – Lukoil seeks to resume talks with the Ukrainian government over lowering rail tariffs in order to restart operation of Karpatnaftokhim petrochemical plant, Lukoil chief Vagit Alekperov said Thursday.
Karpatnaftokhim suspended operation in December 2013 after the company had run into losses caused by high transportation costs and growing prices of raw materials.
Lukoil was in contact with the government, but the talks had collapsed after the resignation of Prime Minister Mykola Azarov in January.
