KIEV, Feb. 12 – Ukrainian gas transport system moving Russian gas to Europe was put on alert on Tuesday to prevent any possible acts of sabotage, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry reported.

The higher security measures were ordered by the ministry to ensure safe operation of the gas pipelines and to “quickly react in case of abnormal situations,” the ministry reported on its website.
