KIEV, Feb. 10 – The National Bank of Ukraine has restricted the sale of foreign currency to individuals who plan to send it abroad to UAH 50,000 a month per individual.
The restriction is stipulated in NBU resolution No. 49, a copy of which has been sent to Interfax-Ukraine.
"Temporarily it is permitted that banks can buy foreign currency on the interbank market in Ukraine under the order of individual residents and nonresidents to send foreign currency outside Ukraine under current currency non-trade transactions of a sum that does not exceed UAH 50,000 in the equivalent per individual," reads the document.
